Sources have said that at least 30 people, including two crew members of the aircraft, have been found to be Corona positive. According to the information, the Government of Italy has quarantined 242 people. Just hours before the Amritsar-Rome flight landed on Thursday, the Italian government issued an order stating that all passengers arriving from India would be kept under quarantine for 10 days.
1.99 crore infected so far in India
Let me tell you that in India till date, about two crore people have been infected with Corona. The situation has worsened in India struggling with the second wave of Corona infection. Lakhs of people are suffering due to lack of beds and oxygen in hospitals of many states, so far more than 100 people have died due to lack of oxygen.
The corona numbers had been increasing daily for the past several days, but on Monday, a slight decline in daily corona cases was observed. According to the Ministry of Health, 3,68,147 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 3417 patients have died in the same period.
With this, the total number of corona infections in India has now increased to 1,99,25,604, while the death toll from corona has risen to 2,18,959. The Health Ministry has reported that a drop in deaths from Corona is being recorded across the country. At present, the death rate from Corona is 1.10% nationwide.
