India will soon get Sputnik vaccine from Russia, PM Modi’s phone discussed with Putin

New Delhi. In view of the situation of Coronavirus in India, Russia has promised to supply Sputnik vaccine soon. The Russian company RDIF had earlier promised to supply Sputnik-V to India by the end of May, 2021. But seeing the situation deteriorating, the first batch should be delivered by May 1

Confident of all possible help

Regarding the talks between Modi and Putin, it is being told that the two leaders also discussed the possibility of manufacturing the vaccine prepared in Russia in India and exporting it to other countries.

The pace of vaccination will be faster

India currently has a complete ban on vaccine exports. Putin expressed happiness over the permission to use Sputnik in India. With this, India will also have a Sputnik vaccine next month along with Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech. The pace of vaccine delivery in the country is accelerating. Also, vaccine will start coming from America in some quantity.

Discussion on BRICS meeting

During the phone conversation, the two leaders discussed the summit in India and the BRICS meeting. Putin is expected to visit India in both meetings.

First batch of medical supplies soon

According to media reports, Russian President Vladimir Putin has informed PM Modi that he has decided to send emergency aid to India. The first consignment of medical supplies from Russia is expected to arrive soon. The consignment will have 22 tons of essential equipment, 20 oxygen production units along with 75 lame ventilators and several medical equipment.
