The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the JEE Main Examination for the fourth phase to be held in May session amid rising cases of corona in the country. These examinations were to be held on 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 May. In this regard, Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ gave information through social media.

Giving information, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the JEE (Main) -May 2021 session has been postponed in view of the current situation caused by Corona and keeping in view the safety of the students. Along with this, the Education Minister has also advised the candidates to keep visiting the NTA website.
Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students safety in mind, JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed.

A new date will be released later
Earlier, the NTA had also postponed the third phase of examinations to be held in April due to the ever increasing cases of corona. The April session examination was to be held from April 27 to April 30, 2021. As per the notification issued by NTA, new dates for the postponed examinations of April and May session of JEE Main Exam 2021 will be released later.
Examination will be held in year four session
This year, the JEE Main exam is being conducted in four sessions. Under this, the examinations of the first two sessions have already been completed in February and March. After which the third phase examination was to be held in April and May. But, at the moment these have been postponed. According to the NTA, a total of 6,20,978 candidates appeared in the examination in February session, while in March the number was 5,56,248.
