According to Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid, shops, shopping malls and markets will be completely closed during the eight-day lockdown. He said that police, rangers and military personnel would be deployed during Eid to control the movement of people.

Rashid said that during the lockdown, shops for medicines, corona virus vaccination centers, petrol pumps, small grocery shops, dairy, vegetables, fruits etc. would be opened. The administration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Pak-occupied Kashmir has also given such strict instructions.
